After 14 years of building websites, apps, and games, we've hit the same wall countless times: images that slow everything down, and a scattered toolkit of compression services that never quite do everything we need.
Images can make or break your site's performance, but optimizing them shouldn't require a PhD in file formats. We were tired of bouncing between different tools just to compress a PNG here, convert to WebP there, and pray the quality stayed intact.
So we built what we always wanted: one powerful platform that compress and convert every modern image format we need – JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and SVG.
Real-time visual preview with manual quality control. No more compress-download-check-repeat cycles. You see exactly how your images will look at different compression levels, adjust the quality slider until it's perfect, then download with confidence.
Whether you're optimizing for Core Web Vitals, reducing bandwidth costs, or just tired of slow-loading pages, this is the image optimization workflow you've been waiting for.
To strike the perfect balance between file size, image quality and compression speed we're always experimenting with various libraries: jpegli, mozjpeg, libjpeg, pingo, oxipng, zopfli, pngquant, pngcrush, optipng, imagemin, squoosh-cli, compressai, tensorflow compression, libwebp, pillow, imagemagick etc. Each has its specialty: some crush PNGs, others optimize JPEGs, but none does it all.
That’s why we built a hybrid compression engine which automatically selects the best algorithm for each image format. Instead of forcing every image through the same process, we've integrated best-in-class libraries—jpegli and mozjpeg for JPEG, oxipng and pngquant for PNG, libwebp for WebP—and let our system choose the optimal combination for each specific image.
The quest for the ultimate combo continues, but the results? Up to 25% better compression ratios compared to single-algorithm solutions, with faster processing and consistently superior quality. You get the benefits of multiple specialized tools without the complexity of choosing between them.
